We are so excited to share that Sophia Institute Press is publishing a beautiful new children’s book, Saints of the Sacred Heart written by Emily Jaminet, the Executive Director of the Sacred Heart Enthronement Network and featuring inspiring illustrations by the award-winning illustrator, Tracy L. Christianson. This book was created to bring greater honor and awareness of the importance of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Saints of the Sacred Heart is a 40-page hardcover book which highlights ten remarkable saints who help both children and adults grow in their spiritual journey toward heart transformation. Emily wrote this book to continue with her ministry work to share the devotion of the Sacred Heart to all generations! She believes that a children’s book is a wonderful way to unlock this life-changing devotion to the next generation.
Among the saints featured are St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, St. Don Bosco, St. Francis de Sales, and many more. This book not only introduces young readers to these holy men and women, but also invites them to reflect on their own hearts in light of Jesus’ loving and merciful Heart.
Each page offers an opportunity to discover the beauty of becoming more like Christ. The book can even be used to pray the Novena to the Sacred Heart, with each saint’s story serving as a launchpad for deeper prayer and reflection and discussion. You will want to read this book over and over again as these saints are so inspiring!
Saints of the Sacred Heart, is perfect for family devotionals, bedtime reading, Catholic Story times or classroom inspiration. Through the witness of saints, readers are encouraged to discover or rediscover the Sacred Heart devotion and become a “True Friend of Jesus”, a better friends to others, and to serve those in need with compassion and grace—just like the saints did.
