As we approach the great Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us take some time to reflect on ways we can better incorporate this devotion into our life. May this moment in the life of the Catholic Church also be significant in our own life as well. May we respond with a willingness to allow Jesus into our life as our King, Lord, Savior and Friend of our heart, home and invite Him to set up His Kingdom into our dwelling place.
We are invited to allow Jesus to be the “King of our life.” Fr. Mateo Crawley-Boevey, who spread the Sacred Heart Enthronement Movement worldwide, once said, “The action of Enthroning the Sacred Heart has an impact on families and individuals that carries over to society and becomes the basis for spreading the Social Reign of our King and Savior.”
Jesus longs to transform society—one heart at a time and it begins with our willingness to let Him in. As we read in Rev. 3:20- He knocks on our hearts.
As we might recall, we are in a great spiritual battle between good and evil. Now is the time to pray, consecrate, enthrone, honor, and share the message of His Heart more fervently than ever. I invite you to be like great missionaries of the past by proclaiming His love to the world, leading others to make His Heart their refuge, and helping us grow as we bring Christ to the world together.
The Sacred Heart reveals that we all matter. We are all invited into God’s family. We are all loved by the Lord. Our response to this profound invitation is up to us. As Fr. Mateo also said, “Nothing is hopeless when it’s a question of the Sacred Heart.” So give Jesus everything!
Now the United States of America is preparing for not only the 250th Anniversary, but the historic moment where the Bishops will come together on the Feast of the Sacred Heart and offer prayers of Consecration to Sacred Heart on behalf of our country. So may we respond, in a way that this moment has a lasting event in our own life as well. Here are Five Suggestions to help share this devotion with others and make it meaningful for all!
5 Ways to Respond to the Sacred Heart Consecration of the United States on June 12, 2026

1. Love others with the Heart of Christ
Each day, choose mercy, patience, and forgiveness in your daily relationships—especially when it is difficult.
So that: others may tangibly experience the love of Jesus through you.
2. Set Your Life Apart from the World
Each day, turn away from sin, noise, and distractions that harden the heart. Embrace a life of prayer, virtue, and faith.
So that: your heart becomes more open and receptive to the transforming love of Christ.
3. Make Jesus King of Your Heart and Home
Each day invite Jesus in, Enthrone and Consecration to the Sacred Heart and intentionally live a life rooted in Christ in your daily joys, works, sorrows and family culture. This is true with your workplace, Catholic School or parish life as well. May we take the first step in responding to His love with Consecration and commit to welcoming Jesus as King, Lord, Savior and Friend.
So that: your home and place of dwelling becomes a place where His love is known by all.
4. Commit to Daily Prayer and acts of Reparation
Spend time each day with the Heart of Jesus—offering your joys, works, and sufferings in love.
So that: you personally encounter His mercy, love, healing, and grace in a deeper way.
5. Share the Devotion—Be an Apostle of the Sacred Heart
