Prepare Your Heart for Jesus This Advent
As Advent approaches, the call to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. In the midst of busy schedules and holiday preparations, it’s easy to lose focus on the true meaning of the season. This year, I’m inviting you to join a special Advent Prayer Challenge that will help you center your heart on Jesus and an opportunity to be inspired by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque as a guide to teach us more about this devotion. As she is a powerful witness to the importance of this devotion as Jesus called her, The Disciple of the Sacred Heart. This is a great time to respond with an open heart and be open to His graces.
Jesus Desires to Share His Grace and Love!
We continue to thank God for the great gift of His Loving Heart. Jesus entrusted St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, with the mission of spreading devotion to His Sacred Heart. Through her deep prayer life and unwavering faith, St. Margaret Mary reminds us that Jesus desires for us to respond to the love He has for each of us.
In the last encyclical released from Pope Francis on the Sacred Heart, “Dilexit Nos” we are reminded of the importance of His heart and even the significance of our own heart. Imagine if we all gave our hearts to Jesus this Christmas- what an impact this would have on the whole world!
As St. Margaret Mary once said, “When the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, we should devote ourselves entirely to Him. Adore and love Him, offering Him your heart as His dwelling.” This Advent, let’s offer our hearts anew to Christ, who humbly comes to dwell with us and create a place for Christ to dwell. Let us be inspired to spend time with Jesus and allow His graces to soften our hard-hearts.

Each day’s prayer and reflection will help you live the Advent season more intentionally, opening your heart to the love and mercy of Christ.
