This June, there are so many opportunities to grow closer to Jesus during this special month dedicated to His Sacred Heart.
First, the United States Catholic Bishops will offer prayers of consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11 on behalf of our Nation. This historic event coincides with the 250th Anniversary of our nation and serves as an invitation to place our trust in Christ. Catholics are encouraged to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament, pray for our nation, and perform acts of charity and service as we prepare for this important moment. Next, consider praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:

The novena includes daily reflections and prayers and will help prepare your heart for both the Consecration and the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Here in Columbus, Bishop Earl Fernandes is encouraging Catholics to participate in a Novena of Masses leading up to the Feast Day and yet, each Bishop is leading their flock to grow closer to Jesus.
On June 12, we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Consider attending Mass, spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, and making an act of consecration to the Sacred Heart. Speak with your pastor about special parish celebrations, Holy Hours, or opportunities for prayer and fellowship. We are so excited so many parishes are also going to Enthrone the Sacred Heart as well in the parish. This June we count well over 55 parishes that will do the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart.
Families may also consider Enthroning the Sacred Heart of Jesus in their homes. The Enthronement is a beautiful way to publicly welcome Christ as King of your family and dedicate your home to His loving Heart. Thousands of families across the country have discovered renewed peace, prayer, and unity through this devotion.
