October 16: St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Feast Day!
At 24 years old, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque entered the Visitation cloister in in Paray-le-Monial France, humbly embracing her calling to religious life. Our Lord chose her as the Great Disciple of His Sacred Heart, entrusting her with the mission of spreading devotion to His merciful love and inviting her to the be the Disciple of the Sacred Heart.
Between 1673 and 1675, St. Margaret Mary received visions of Christ in which He made twelve powerful promises to those devoted to His Heart. These promises continue to inspire countless faithful today to entrust their lives, families, and homes to His Sacred Heart.
Despite harsh criticism and disbelieve over the vision, St. Margaret Mary persevered with true humility and Christ- like Charity, eventually proving the truth of the revelations.
In the first great revelation of the Sacred Heart, Jesus shared His burning desire to be loved by all people and revealed the treasures of mercy contained in His Heart. Jesus requested that the faithful receive Holy Communion on the First Friday of each month out of an act of Reparation and Love, and that the Church celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart on the Friday after the octave of Corpus Christi and that we grow in holiness and love for God and others. After nineteen years in the convent, St. Margaret Mary went to her eternal reward on October 17, 1690. Her feast day is on Oct. 16th.
From her tomb, many pilgrims have obtained favors through her intercession. Through her faithfulness, the message of the Sacred Heart has spread throughout the world, offering hope, healing, and the infinite love of Jesus to every generation.

- “Thou must not keep these graces to thyself, nor be sparing in distributing them to others, for I have willed to use thy heart as a channel for conveying them into souls according to My design.”
Fear Nothing
2. “Fear nothing, I will reign in spite of My enemies and of all those who would oppose Me.” (II, 105), and again: “I will that thou shouldst serve Me as an instrument to draw hearts to My love.” (11, 193).
A Place of Refuge!
3. Why dost thou fear, since I have given thee that place of refuge in which all things are made easy?
I am Thy Protector and Surety
4. Fear nothing and trust in Me. I am thy Protector and thy Surety. Within thy soul I have established My reign of peace which no one shall distrub and in thy heart My reign of love which will fill thee wiht joy; of this joy no one shall deprive thee.” (II, 194).

Hi i am in probation soon to be a full member of Sacred Heart of of Jesus ,so much interested to learn more about my faith as Catholic and more to know ever more basics of the Sacred Heart of Jesus .
we have to try to progress in our faith. Daily mass if possible listen to ewtn radio and do verbal and mental prayers and like you are doing by reading about st. Maragret Mary’s life. Also soooo important to wear the miraculous metal. Mother Teresa gave them to all.
